Palermo Street Food & Desserts
A visit to Palermo would be incomplete without snacking on street food and sweets. After all, Palermo is a top destination for street food and pastry lovers alike.
During our neighborhood passeggiata we taste savory and sweet specialties. From local street food like sfincione (traditional thick crust Palermitan pizza) to fried snacks like arancini, potato croquettes and pane e panelle, we’ll snack as we walk and take in Palermo like a local. No Sicilian food experience is complete without sweets… gelato and granita (did you know granita originated in Sicily?), cannoli filled with fresh ricotta on the spot, biscotti alle mandorle and Martorana fruit, marzipan pastries.
