LIVE COOKING & WINE

Our team of culinary, wine and cheese experts shares know-how, tips and insights, live from their home to wherever you are

We look forward to welcoming you virtually into our homes, cooking and swirling glasses together. We offer informal, interactive group cooking lessons and wine & cheese tastings that change every month. We love to offer a variety of lessons, but we also repeat favorites by popular demand.

In our virtual classes you meet other Italy-enthusiasts from all over the world. Our live online hands-on lessons are geared toward food and wine lovers like us, and are open to all.

FAQ

I have dietary restrictions/aversions, or am interested in different dishes, can you accommodate?

If there’s a recipe that you’d like to learn to make but do not see listed in our calendar on this page, please contact us and we’ll schedule a private class tailored to your needs.

What if I book late and the class is full?

Should classes fill up quickly, we will do our best to schedule another session for participants on our waitlist.

What happens when I sign up for a class?

Upon registration, you will receive a confirmation email which will include further information (such as a shopping list for the lesson) and of course the link to join the lesson.

What happens next?

With the confirmation email we will include a shopping list for the lesson with ingredients and other instructions. Please don’t hesitate to ask us for substitutions if you can’t find an ingredient or a specific bottle of wine. We make substitutions in our kitchens every day!

What time are the lessons held?

We schedule our classes at various times of day. The majority of our lessons taught in Italy are held between 9:00 am EST and 4:00 pm EST but there is room for flexibility. All starting times are listed in Eastern Standard Time (EST).

My time zone doesn’t allow me to attend a class I’m interested in, can you accommodate?

If you would like to request a lesson at an alternative time, or a private lesson just for your party, please contact us and we will try our best to accommodate.

How long are the lessons?

Lessons last 60 to 90 minutes, and start promptly.

What platform are the lessons held on?

Lessons are held on the Zoom platform.

How many people are in a lesson?

Live online cooking classes are open for a maximum 20 screens per lesson to allow hands-on teaching and interaction during the lesson. We want to have time to answer all of your questions and spend time together cooking.

Is there a minimum number of participants required for a lesson to run?

We like to keep our virtual classrooms small to allow hands-on teaching and interaction during the lesson. We want to have time to answer all of your questions and spend time together while class is in session.

The minimum number of participants needed for our online interactive cooking classes and wine & cheese experiences to run is as follows:
For cooking classes, there is a minimum of three (3) registered devices needed for the class to run;
For wine & cheese tastings, there is a minimum of five (5) registered devices needed for the class to run;

Participants who have registered will be notified of any change in class time by the following deadlines:
Cooking classes: no later than 48 hours prior to the start of the lesson;
Wine & Cheese tastings: no later than 5 days prior to the start of the lesson;

In the event that the class date and time are changed, participants have the option to A) participate in the newly scheduled lesson, B) use the credit toward a future lesson, or C) receive a full refund.

Do you offer private classes?

Of course! You can request a private cooking class for a group of friends or family members, and we take special menu requests. Check out our Private Online Classes page if you are interested.

    We booked a pasta-making class through Casa Mia Tours. Being a pastry chef myself, I have pretty high expectations for a cooking class and this experience met them all, and even exceeded some!
