Once again, the Casa Mia team (Gina, Eleonora and Carolyn) are offering one-plate simple interactive cooking lessons and wine & cheese tastings. Since starting these experiences in 2020, we have created a way to bring the universal us together online.
As always, lessons are geared toward home cooks like us, and are open to all. Check out our February cooking classes and wine & cheese tastings below. Most importantly, remember to sign up before classes fill up!
Wednesday, April 6, 2022 – Farfalle alla Primavera
Spring has sprung and farfalle are all around. Farfalle, also known as butterfly shaped pasta, is a festive and delicious pasta hailing from Northern Italy. Paired with a fresh spring veggies, this vegetarian dish is light yet satisfying. Inspire your taste buds to take flight like only farfalle can.

Saturday, April 9, 2022 – Carciofi alla Romana – Welcome back artichokes!
Ready to deep-dive in the magical realm of Italy’s seasonal sides? April is prime artichoke season, when Italians use up their carciofi for sassy side dishes. During our 90 minute lesson you’ll learn to make braised carciofi alla romana, plus pick up tips and tricks to make the best of your purple pretties. Vegetarian-friendly.

Wednesday, April 13, 2022 – Torta di Ricotta (Ricotta Pie) for Easter
Torta di ricotta (ricotta pie) is found in various versions around Italy. In its simplest form it is filled with sweetened ricotta and candied citrus. In today’s lesson, we’ll make Gina’s family recipe that includes chocolate shavings and is enjoyed for Easter.

Saturday, April 30, 2022 – Wine & Cheese Tasting: Red Wines for Spring
Our April tasting is all about red wines for spring and the cheeses that best pair with these. We will taste 3 red wines paired with 3 cheeses made in different styles. Pairing lessons are taught in tandem by Eleonora, our resident cheese expert, and Gina, our natural wine lover. Both will share some of their wine and cheese adventures.
