Cooking in Torino

A cooking class in the home of a Torinese chef

Cooking in Torino is a special experience; it’s where the elegance of Northern Italy meets the warmth of a home-cooked meal. At the foot of the Alps and bordering France, Piemonte and especially Torino’s cuisine is rich with tradition, seasonal ingredients, and a deep love for food and wine that brings people together.

Join Casa Mia Tours for a local experience that may start with a morning stroll shopping for ingredients at a vibrant outdoor food market, exploring the bountiful stalls, choosing the freshest ingredients that will inspire the day’s lunch. Along the way your chef-host will share insider knowledge on Piemontese food culture, introduce local specialities and how to select the best ingredients.

Food lovers are then welcomed into the chef’s home, where the real fun begins! You’ll roll up our sleeves and start cooking. During the fun class, you’ll learn how to prepare a complete traditional Piedmontese lunch, including: a delicious antipasto; two types of fresh pasta: Tajarin and Agnolotti; and a sweet homemade dessert.

After about two hours of hands-on cooking, you’ll sit down to enjoy the meal you and your chef-host have created, paired with excellent local wine. The experience ends with a freshly brewed espresso and a homemade digestivo, the perfect end to a day of food, laughter, and discovery.

Your personal chef will share printed copies of all the recipes so you can recreate the dishes at home and bring a taste of Piemonte to your own kitchen.
