Visit a pistachio farm on Europe’s tallest active volcano
Sicily is a land full of rich history, stunning landscapes, and a culinary heritage that dates back thousands of years. But for those in the know, there’s one treasure that stands out above all else: pistachios from the small town of Bronte.
This village, nestled on the north-western side of Mount Etna, is home to what many call “green gold”—pistachios that are considered some of the finest in the world. Grown in the mineral-rich volcanic soil of Europe’s tallest active volcano, the Pistacchio Verde di Bronte DOP benefit from the unique climate and traditional farming techniques passed down through generations. A staple in Sicilian cuisine, the pistachios enhance both sweet and savory dishes with their unmistakable taste.
Our exclusive experience takes guests through lush pistachio groves, offering a first-hand look at cultivation and processing of the true local product, ending with a tasting of Bronte’s most famous delicacy, employed in delicious local preparations.
