A hands-on visit to a family garden on Mount Etna
The slopes of Mount Etna provide rich, fertile soil for growing vegetables, fruits and herbs. Visit a local garden where you can see and taste these for yourself, followed by a special cooking class and lunch.
In our Sicilian garden experience, a rich and lush family garden at the foot of Mount Etna awaits you.
When you arrive you’ll enjoy a guided tour where you can see the seasonal juicy fruits, colorful vegetables, and intensely fragrant aromatic herbs. Along the way you’ll have the opportunity to pick some of this produce with your own hands and taste as you go. The garden has been lovingly cultivated by the hostess, who carries on a family dream passed down through generations on the family estate.
You’ll learn about the organic and biodynamic lemon cultivation that takes place here, and depending on the time of year, get to see and smell some of the fragrant Sicilian lemons on their trees.
This true Sicilian experience continues with a farm-to-table cooking class, where you’ll learn more about the delicious, genuine flavors seasoned with the generous kindness and hospitality Sicily is known for.
To complete the tour, tutti a tavolo! Lunch is served, where you’ll enjoy not only seasonal Sicilian specialties but also creative and original combinations inspired by the many cultures the local people have always been in contact with – and happily influenced by.
