Happy New Year!
Every year, after popping bottles of bubbly and wearing red undergarments, we set new year’s resolutions and most of the time we try to honor them. Here are Casa Mia’s New Year Resolutions for 2016
- Drink more wine
- Eat/cook more delicious regional food
- Keep at least one New Year’s Resolution
Let’s start working on Resolution number 1.
We intend to kick off the new year with a series of curated wine tasting pop-ups, featuring Italian wines, and hosted in various neighborhoods around Rome. The inaugural wine tasting with food will be “Ring in the New Year with Casa Mia ~ an intro to Italian wines” which will be held on January 25th, 2016.
Our first event takes place in the comfort of a private Roman residence in the elegant Parioli neighborhood.
We’ll introduce some of our favorite wines from the Veneto, Lombardia, Campania, Piemonte and Tuscany regions, and associate levity and unpretentious language to the joy of wine tasting, in order to create a convivial moment of “educational entertainment” for participants.
The wine tasting will feature a selection 5 wines, representing an overview of Italian grapes and winemaking areas, delicious food pairings will include cheese, cured meats bread and delicious homemade desserts.
There will be time for questions and relaxed conversation, and the opportunity to learn about the vast and varied scope of Italian oenology, in the warm, relaxed ambiance of a private Roman home.
Pouring and presenting the wines are Casa Mia co-founder, Gina Tringali and Daniela Paris. They are both food and wine educators, certified AIS sommeliers, and Italian food culture specialists. Their collective knowledge and passion are contagious, and their approach is friendly and communicative.
We look forward to seeing you there!
We will be limiting attendance to 12 participants. Spaces are going fast so reserve your chance to taste and learn more about great Italians wines in good company, in a convivial home setting.
