Gratitude

By November 25, 2022No Comments

How is it November? In the blink of an eye, we go from unprecedented heat waves that rocked Boston and Rome this summer, to the crisp chill air that only fall brings. The leaves have turned their beautiful autumnal colors and now adorn the streets of Boston while the high season of tourism in Italy has barely begun to turn to the low season. It is like Mother Nature and the Universe know when to incite a deliberate forced pause in our daily lives. As the holiday season quickly approaches, we the ladies of Casa Mia would like to take a moment before the festivities begin, to genuinely express our gratitude.

fall

This past year, Casa Mia felt the “post-covid” impact on the tourism industry. After surviving the complete halt of travel to Italy (and everywhere) during the pandemic, we could only hope that people would begin to trust in travel again. There have been many changes to mandates, travel restrictions, and of course vaccination status. Although we believed travel would return, we were blown away by the immense desire people showed – and continue to show – to return to Italy.  We welcomed back returning clients and met many new clients as well. Thank you for entrusting us with the making of your new memories. Our clients, truly our friends, are the reason we do what we do. Thank you for choosing Casa Mia. We continually look forward to your many returns!

The network that is Casa Mia, expands throughout the country of Italy. Although it is just us three as owners, we cannot do what we do without our guides, cooks and collaborators. These people are the support upon which we stand as a company. Their dedication to their craft is beyond impressive.  Whether it be wine tastings, vespa rides, cooking classes, or touring markets, our colleagues create an authentic atmosphere for our clients. Thank you for representing us in a professional, yet familial manner. We appreciate your knowledge, your willingness to share personal anecdotes, and your ability to connect with our clients. Thank you. Grazie.

The ladies of Casa Mia have all taken different paths to arrive to the present. The similarities of our personal histories are few and far between. However, one of the reasons that we are bound together so tightly is due to our deep reverence for our families, friends, and those integral people that have played instrumental roles in our lives. Thank you to all of you who have supported us through difficult times and lovingly rejoiced with us in moments of success. Thank you for all you have done to build the character, strength, and humility that we bring to our personal and professional lives daily. We are blessed.

Although this piece of writing serves as a collective thank you from all three of us, I, Carolyn, would like to take a moment to thank my two colleagues, Gina and Eleonora. Grateful does not even begin to illustrate how I feel about my sisters in business. Their passion, compassion, and drive inspire me daily. We all do the daily juggle of work, family, friends, and overall life. It is hard. I know that it has been a very, very, very busy few months and although I am not sure I can fully express how grateful I am. Thank you, for being you.
