Truffle Hunt & Homemade Lunch at a Vineyard
Get a glimpse of the life of a trifulau and her trusted truffle dog as you search for the prestigious tuber. A wonderful way to spend a morning learning about the art of truffle hunting and respect for nature, the woods and the beloved pups.
After the search, you can opt to enjoy a private tasting and lunch at a small family run vineyard that features home made pasta with truffles and a typical local dessert. Wines tasted may include Langhe Arneis, Barbara d’Alba, and Barolo. Each tasting is customized by the Casa Mia team. Upon request, the day ends with a visit to Cherasco, a picturesque town that Napoleon called “the most beautiful spot in Italy”.
Alba & Barbaresco Discovery
Visit Alba, a town with 2,000 years of winemaking history and that is home to the annual international white truffle fair. A hub for Michelin star restaurants and trattorie alike, it is the perfect place to dine on traditional Piemontese cuisine.
After lunch, take in the town and countryside of Barbaresco and taste the world renowned wines at a select vineyard before the end of the day.
Moscato and Asti Adventure
Discover Monferrato, the area between Asti and Alessandria known for its red and sparkling wines. Taste red wines made from Barbera, Dolcetto and Grignolino, and white wines from the Cortese and Muscat varieties. Stroll through Canelli, a UNESCO town, with miles of underground “cathedrals:” excavations dating back to the 18th century and used since then for wine storage.
We will join a private or group visit at a historic wine producer and taste sparkling Moscato d’Asti alongside a Metodo Classico and other wines from the area.
There will be time for a break for lunch during which our sommelier will pair wines with local fare. The day ends with a visit to the town of Asti.
